Image & Form has confirmed that SteamWorld Heist will launch on the Nintendo 3DS eShop as a digital-only title this December 10, 2015. The publisher has also added that a launch discount will be implemented until the end of the year.
The studio revealed that the standard price for this game will be $19.99 but for a limited time, the price will drop down to $16.99. This is intended for early adopters who will buy the game on or before December 31, 2015. In addition, an exclusive Nintendo 3DS Home Menu theme will also be given away within this period. Both the discounted price and free exclusive theme will no longer be available come next year.
Image & Form promised that the SteamWorld Heist campaign will take players more than 20 to 25 hours to complete along with a New Game+. In an interview with Nintendo Life last month, the studio also believes that it's "on par with some first-party games" currently available on the 3DS. They also proclaimed that SteamWorld Heist is 10 times bigger and better than their previous title, SteamWorld Dig so you will be actually getting 5 times the value with this game.
