About Us
Pinoy Nintendo, formerly known as Pinoy 3DS: StreetPass Philippines, is a Filipino community for Nintendo enthusiasts who own or are interested in a Nintendo family system. We dedicate ourselves in maximizing the most out of Nintendo handheld games through weekly StreetPass events.
Having fun together is the primary driving force that fuels our enthusiasm during local and online multiplayer sessions. The community also maintains a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere fit for every age groups.
The community was first founded as a Facebook group in 2011. Since then, the community has grown to more than 17,000 members and 20 StreetPass communities.

What is StreetPass?
The word "StreetPass" can have two definitions that are related to one another.
As an added feature present in every 3DS, it allows the users to exchange data from games and applications that they use. If enabled, the feature will remain active for as long as the system is turned on or in sleep mode. StreetPass will automatically act when another 3DS user walks within the system's range.
Data transmitted through StreetPass will depend on the game or application. Nintendo Wikia has a list of games that use this feature along with supporting information.
StreetPass can also pertain to an organized event hosted by 3DS users. Not only does it promote games that utilize local multiplayer, but it also strengthens the social aspect of handheld gaming. Through the years, new StreetPass factions have been formed to accommodate more options for users in different areas.
