Special Mii Kyle from Nintendo has dropped by the Nintendo 3DS Mii Plaza to inform us about the upcoming National StreetPass Weekend.
While we may never discover the true identity behind Kyle's character, his Special Mii has various perks in Mii Plaza games. Aside from sporting a different look from other normal Miis thanks to their sparkly Gold Pants, Special Miis contain all puzzle pieces from all the panels in Puzzle Swap, including the pink ones. They also arrive as Level 5 Heroes from the get-go in Find Mii. In addition, Special Miis also have bonuses in Premium Mii Plaza games.
In the United States, Nintendo Zone hotspots receive and send StreetPass tags to nearby 3DS units within range. The data being circulated around is limited to a specific Nintendo Zone hotspot. During National StreetPass Weekend, this limiter is removed so StreetPass data from Nintendo Zones all over the country can travel freely (eg: Lonk from Pennsylvania can receive petch's StreetPass data even though she is all the way from Texas).
Selected McDonald's Nintendo Zones will also distribute Event Pokemon Hoopa to 3DS owners with Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire from November 27 to December 23. StreetPass Weekend sounds an awesome event, right? The only sad part is that there are no certified Nintendo Zones in the Philippines.

Fans in the United States will be able to receive the Mythical Pokemon Hoopa for their Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Omega Ruby, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire video games by bringing their game and Nintendo 3DS family system to participating McDonald's locations and connecting to Nintendo Zone.
