The Pokemon Company just announced that 2018 Will be the Year of Legendary Pokémon. In line with this, several Legendaries from the series will be given away between the months of February leading up to November. But there's a catch.
The events will be available for both Pokémon Sun/Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon with a few differences. Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon players will receive a Level 100 Legendary Pokémon holding a Gold Bottle Cap while owners of Pokémon Sun/Moon will get their Level 60 versions with no held items.

The first serial code distribution for the month of February will be exclusive to participating GameStop stores in the US so Pokémon Trainers in the Philippines might have a hard time getting them unless:
- You have relatives or friends in the US who can get the codes for you
- You are willing to hunt for code giveaways online
- You find people from foreign communities who are willing to trade with you
- You have the time and the money to personally fly to the US
- Maxsoft pulls a miracle and distribute codes through local retailers or their Facebook page
