Fire Emblem Heroes Ver 2.2.0 Update

Version 2.2.0 for Fire Emblem Heroes just came out a few days ago and this requires you to download the update from the Playstore itself. The game isn't officially released in our region yet so you need to do a couple more steps as a workaround.

For Android users, you need to use a free VPN service like Tunnelbear VPN for the update. The steps below are also mentioned in the original How to Download Fire Emblem Heroes in the Philippines post:

• Go to your phone's Settings and Select Apps.
• Find and select the Google Play Store app.
• Tap Force stop, confirm, then tap Clear data and finally Clear cache.
• Open the Google Play Store app and enter your login requirements. (See note below)
• Search for Fire Emblem Heroes & select Update.
• After the download, go back to the Tunnelbear app and disable the VPN service.
• Open Fire Emblem Heroes & it will prompt you to update from the game itself.

Note: If you have already used your Google account to purchase any app or micro-transaction from the Playstore, then this method may not work for that specific account. You will need to use a different Google account for your login to bypass this.

Version 2.2.0 added the following changes:

Menu Updates
A new gamemode exclusive to Legendary Heroes and heroes with conferred Blessings will release this March. Tempest Trials and Voting Gauntlet have also been merged together under "Events".

New Mode - Tap Battle: Illusory Dungeon
This new mode turns Fire Emblem Heroes into a mini rhythm game of sorts. Various enemies will scroll towards your characters and you will need to tap them at the right time. It will launch later at 3 PM Philippine time.

New Special Maps
Special Maps dedicated to unit training will be gradually released starting today at 3PM in the afternoon. A total of 5 maps will be rotated every 5 days with the themes being: Melee, Ranged, Bows, Magic, and "The Workout". There will also be 5 different difficulty options for each theme, ranging from Level 5 to 34. This is similar to the format seen in Tempest Trials. Aside from Orbs, Blessings will also be given away for free if you clear them for the first time.

Grand Hero Battle Rotation
Starting later, the following Grand Hero Battles will now rotate daily: Narcian, Navarre, Female Robin, Ursulla, Lloyd, Michalis, and Xander. They will be available until next year, February 8, 2019 at 3PM Philippine time. It is yet unclear if players who have already completed their Grand Hero Battles before will be able to get new rewards.

New Weapon Refinery Options
New personal uninheritable Weapon skills have been added to a group of existing Heroes, allowing more options in the Weapon Refinery.

• Caeda's Wing Sword is effective against cavalry and armored enemies. One of its refinement options also allows her to gain a Special cooldown charge of +1 per attack if the difference between her Spd from her foe's is equal to or greater than 1.
• Hinoka's Spear grants her Atk/Spd +4 during combat if infantry or flying allies are within 2 spaces from her. One of its refinement options also allows infantry and flying allies within 2 spaces to move to a space adjacent to her.
• Raven's Basilikos accelerates Special trigger, reducing cooldown requirement by 1. One of its refinement options also has an effect of Atk/Spd+5 and Def/Res-5.
• Felicia's Plate inflicts Def/Res-7 on target and enemies within 2 spaces of target. Damage will be calculated using the lower of foe's Def or Res stat. One of its refinement options allow her to gain Special cooldown charge +1 if foe uses magic.
• Zephiel's Eckesachs inflicts Def -6 on enemies, excluding dragons, within 2 spaces at the start of each turn. One of its refinement options grants him Def/Res +6 during combat if he is attacked by enemies using bow, daggers, magic, or staff.
• Marth's Falchion has one refinement option that grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res +2 to allies within 2 spaces during combat.
• Alm's Falchion has one refinement option that allows him to attack twice, then take 5 damage when he initiates combat at 100% HP.
• Chrom, Lucina, and Masked Marth's Falchions have a refinement option that grants them Atk/Spd/Def/Res +4 if they are adjacent to an ally.
