The Pinoy Monster Hunter community spearheaded a Hunt-for-a-Cause event last year with Slay All Seregios to help a fellow hunter fight Hemophilia. The event was a huge success as both local and international Monster Hunter communities cooperated and gathered all the necessary materials to complete the quest.
This year, Filipino hunters are gearing up for another hunt. Their mission is to help the 1-year old Myusik Janrah Garcia combat Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) through the event funds that will go toward his Chemotherapy.
The Department of Health (DOH) ranks leukemia as the 4th cancer killer in the Philippines. Leukemia, often called blood cancer, develops when “abnormal” cells multiply and survive outside of the normal and usual environment which controls the healthy cells. The growth in number and proliferation of these abnormal cells in the marrow, blood or lymphatic tissue have an impact on and wreak havoc with the production and normal functioning of the blood cells: red cells, white cells, and platelets. This can lead to severe anemia, bleeding, an impaired ability to fight infection, or even death.

The Pinoy Monster Hunter community, in partnership with Philga: Philippine Gaming Association and PlayGround Hobby Cafe will host Carapeceon Carnage, a huge Hunt-a-thon Tournament to save a brother's life.
Since cancer is Latin for crab and is commonly represented as one, smashing Carapeceon shells will be the theme for this event. The guild will be requiring brave hunters to prepare against the likes of Daimyo Hermitaur, Shogun Ceanataur, and Stonefist Hermitaur.
