You heard that right folks!

In an inquiry posted to Maxsoft, the official Nintendo distributor in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, the company mentioned that the Philippines will indeed receive very limited copies of the Special Edition of Fire Emblem: Fates.

As usual, we contacted our local retailers about this and they clarified that no concrete information regarding stock availability can be said at the current time. This may mean that we may have to wait until February 19, the game's launch date, for any significant updates.

If you aren't familiar with the Special Edition of the game, this version will include all three storylines/versions of Fire Emblem: Fates (Birthright, Conquest, Revelation) in a single cartridge. This will also allow purchasers to access and play the digital-only Revelation Path three weeks early from its official launch.

Aside from the unique cartridge, the Special Bundle will also include an 80-page Hardcover Artbook and a Nintendo 3DS XL Carrying Pouch featuring Fire Emblem: Fates game art. The artbook is a vast improvement from the GameStop-exclusive Fire Emblem: Awakening pre-order bonus artbook that never made it locally.

The Special Bundle has an MSRP of $79.99 (approximately P3,825 excluding tax). Aside from the bonuses mentioned above, the Special Edition bundle will also save you at least $19.98 off. You'll have to spend $99.97 (approximately P4,778 excluding tax) normally if you're going to buy the physical versions of Birthright and Conquest along with the digital-only Revelation separately.

For the meantime, pre-orders for the regular versions of Fire Emblem: Fates - Birthright and Fire Emblem: Fates - Conquest are still on-going.

Maxsoft has yet to confirm the Limited Edition Fire Emblem: Fates New 3DS XL system but we'll post any new updates that'll pop up, so stay tuned!

Here's the new trailer to keep the hype train chugging:

Nintendo even posted an unboxing video of the Special Edition:
