Nintendo dropped a bombshell earlier in their 6 a.m. Nintendo Direct!
Surprisingly, the company kept their promise of supporting the 3DS in-line with the Switch with a number of new releases which include a new WarioWare game, a remake of Luigi's Mansion (originally released on the Game Cube), a re-imagining of Bowser's Inside Story (originally released on the DS), a 3DS version of Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker (first seen on the Wii U), and a new installment of the Dillon's Rolling Western series.
A number of Switch announcements were also made, the most notable of which was arguably the new Super Smash Bros. There was no indication that it will receive the same Deluxe treatment as previous Wii U re-releases like Mario Kart 8 or Pokken Tournament, so it might be built from the ground up. The Direct also showcased a number of third-party games with Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy, Okami HD, and Dark Souls Remastered, among others. Some indie games like Undertale and Little Nightmares kept the ball rolling.
