Swedish developer Image & Form revealed that SteamWorld Dig 2 is now headed to the 3DS eShop on February 22, 2018 as a digital-exclusive title. It will be available for $19.99 or around P1,040 excluding tax.
Previously released on the Nintendo Switch and other platforms last year, the game is a direct sequel to 2013's SteamWorld Dig. It connects the events of SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Heist, both of which are available on the 3DS and Switch. Its Metroidvania gameplay revolves around mining, exploration, and combat with an increased focus on platforming elements.
According to Image & Form, the 3DS port has been optimized to run at 60 FPS even with the stereoscopic 3D effect turned on.
Will you add this to your 3DS library or would you rather purchase it for your Switch library instead? You can also check this page for more upcoming 3DS and Switch games this month.
