Pinoy 3DS made a firm commitment to bring you the latest StreetPass and Nintendo 3DS news in the past 9 months since this blog went online, but we also understand that there's always room for improvement.
As you may have noticed, accessing pinoy-3ds.blogspot.com now redirects you to pinoy3ds.org. It took us two days to stomp a couple of Goombas but we've finally completed the transfer! Here's a quick rundown of the changes made:
Comments
The new commenting system is powered by Disqus. Disqus offers several social login options (Google, Twitter, and Facebook), which allow users to create a Disqus account with relative ease. Once you've authenticated your social login with a Disqus account, you'll be able to use that social login to log into Disqus with one click in the future. Please check this page for more information.
The Disqus platform allows us to manage comments easier than ever! In addition, the Recent Comments widget on the right sidebar helps visitors check the 10 most recent comments in our site, facilitating discussion.
New Content
Aside from StreetPass Announcements, Pinoy3DS.org will now publish game updates and local news related to the 3DS as well. These updates are for the North American (the same region as US, Asian, MDE) region, unless otherwise stated.
We're also planning to publish 3DS game reviews in the future. So stay tuned!
Updated Content
It might take as a while before we can update all the existing posts to fit in with the new site design. As such, we decided to leave some posts (eg: previously posted StreetPass announcements and galleries) as they are.
We also updated our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Marketplace Guidelines mentioned here, for your reference.
Project StreetPass
Project StreetPass has been very succesful. There are currently 20 registered StreetPass Venues, 113 logged Events, with 33 Galleries submitted. We hope that these numbers will continue to grow as more and more people discover the benefits and joys of StreetPass Events. New features are also planned to help us achieve these goal.
In line with this, if you know other groups that organize weekly StreetPass Meetings to play Nintendo 3DS games such as Monster Hunter or Pokemon, kindly refer us to them!
We sincerely wish that these changes will forge more bonds within our community. This will also allow us to re-focus on the actual features of the website, rather than to simply keep it afloat.
