It's the start of the -Ber months and you know what that means. A slimmer wallet due the multitude of Limited Edition releases, of course!

Level-5's spin-off titles for Yo-Kai Watch make a debut on the 3DS with Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: White Dog Squad. The Purple/Silver New 2DS XL bundled with a digital copy of Mario Kart 7 is also scheduled to come out at the end of the month.

The Switch continues to maintain its momentum of major releases alongside the support of the indie community.

For Xenoblade Chronicles 2 owners who have yet to purchase the Expansion Pass DLC, the standalone physical release of Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country will contain a download code for it. You won't need the base game for the prequel but you will need it to access the other contents of the Expansion Pass. If you already have the base game and the DLC, then you can access the prequel earlier on the 14th. You won't need the standalone version then unless you prefer to have an actual physical copy for collection purposes.

It is yet unclear if our local retailers will be able to procure Limited Edition copies for a number of upcoming Switch games this month.

Limited Edition copies of GOD WARS The Complete Legend include the complete OST, a hardcover art book, and a collector's box for $54.99 (around P2,950 excluding tax).

Aside from the physical copy of the game, Labyrinth of Refrain: Conven of Dusk's Limited Edition includes a deck of Tarot Cards, a 4 lapel pin set, a hardcover art book and bookmark, 2 official OST CDs, and a collector's box for $79.99 (around P4,290 excluding tax).

Undertale's Collector's Edition will contain 2 CDs featuring the complete soundtrack, sheet music booklet for 6 songs, a 14k gold-plated brass music box locket, a collector's box, a 24-page story booklet, and the physical version of the game for $69.99 (around P3,750 excluding tax).

The Premium Edition copies of Valkyria Chronicles 4 comes with a 100-page artbook modelled after Claude Wallace's journal, 2 side missions featuring the original Squad 7 from the first Valkyria Chronicles game, a vinyl Hafen tank, a collector's box, and of course, the physical copy of the game for $99.99 (around P5,350 excluding tax).

Dust: An Elysian Tail also has its own Collector's Edition but only 3,000 copies will be available worldwide. It will feature a reversible cover art, a full-color manual, a reversible 18x24" poster, an official OST Cd, a plush with plastic hanger, and a Sword of Ahrah USB drive.

The Starter Edition reprints for Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be bundled with their respective strategy guides to help beginners with the knowledge they'll need for the aforementioned games.

Finally, the 3rd kit of Nintendo's toys to life line is also scheduled to come out this month. It might also be the most interactive Toy-Con to date with its various in-game modes, mini-games, and features (it also doubles as a controller for Mario Kart 8!). The first 2 kits recently received a hefty P2,000-price cut from our local retailers so it is interesting to know if they'll be offering the latest kit despite poor sales here. On the other hand, the Nintendo Labo kits did pretty well in other parts of the world.

Note: The information below are the tentative release dates for Nintendo 3DS and Switch games in North America (also known as US, Asian, or MDE) unless otherwise stated. The local retail prices mentioned below are just approximate values based on the US SRP and the current exchange rate at the time of writing. Tax, shipping, and other fees are not taken into consideration. Final price will only be revealed by the retailers on the actual local release date itself. Games with no prices under the Retail column (indicated by -) mean that they are eShop-exclusive digital titles. The TBA tag will be used for games that have yet to update their SRPs.

*NBA 2k19 isn't included in Nintendo's list but various news articles and retailer information have it either on the 7th or the 11th of this month. In addition, Nintendo has yet to update the TBA 2018 release date for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Bandai Namco has already announced that it will arrive on the Switch on the 28th.

While the 3DS is region-locked, the Switch is not so you can play Japanese Switch games on your US Switch console. The eShop usually updates at 12 PM or 3 PM of the same day or at 12 AM of the next day, Philippine Time. Local retailers like DataBlitz and Game One PH/ i.TECH will usually sell physical copies at the date of release, unless unforeseen shipments or delivery problems occur.
