It-sa time for Nintendo's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) presentation! This is the largest annual trade fair for the video game industry, where major publishers drop announcements left and right.
Nintendo rarely makes major announcements during E3 anymore ever since they started showcasing their own separate Nintendo Direct presentations. But of course, anything can happen! Here is Nintendo's E3 schedule converted to Philippine time:
Tuesday - June 12, 2018
6:30 AM - Nintendo's E3 2018 lineup will kick off with the Splatoon 2 World Championship Opening Rounds starting at 6:30 AM Philippine Time.
Wednesday - June 13, 2018
12:00 AM - Set your alarms at exactly 12 AM Philippine Time for the Nintendo Direct: E3 2018 presentation. The 45-minute broadcast will be live-streamed through their official Youtube, Twitch, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
12:45 AM - Right after the Nintendo Direct, the Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3 2018 segments will follow through. Nintendo Treehouse staff together with some developers will feature various gameplay from recently announced games straight from the Direct earlier, starting with Super Smash Bros. for the Switch. This will continue for 3 days.
4:00 AM - Later that day, the Splatoon 2 World Championship Finals will finally conclude.
TBA - This will be immediately followed by the Super Smash Bros Invitational 2018, featuring the new game for the Switch and the following challengers:
- MkLeo
- ZeRo
- Armada
- Abadango
- Plup
- Mr. R
- Lucky
- Mang0
Other Information
Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion are already given based on their published schedule. They might even reveal a few more things regarding the recently announced Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee games. Though highly unlikely, it'll be also great if they can give us new information regarding the previously announced Switch titles Yoshi, Fire Emblem, and Metroid Prime 4.
The Nintendo 3DS has the upcoming WarioWare Gold along with the Luigi's Mansion and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story remakes. It'll be interesting to see if they are going to update their claim of supporting the 3DS beyond this year.
There are also a number of Wii U titles that are great candidates for the DX treatment for the Switch. This might also be the right time to reveal more details regarding the Nintendo Switch Online System. On the 3DS side of things, remastering old Gamecube or GBA classics might also be feasible.
