Players who are subscribed to the Pokemon Bank online service will receive the Alolan Starters with their Hidden Abilities as part of an event.
Instructions
- Open up the Pokemon Bank app (only those with active accounts can join)
- Select "Use Pokemon Bank"
- Select your preferred game (only Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, or Ultra Moon are eligible)
- A notification will inform you that the Alolan Starters have been sent to your game
- Load your copy of Pokemon Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon.
- You can get the starters from the Event NPC inside any Pokemon Center in-game.
The aforementioned Pokemon will have your OT/ID info and will have no special event-exclusive moves. This event will remain active until October 31, 2018. You can also pass the new Hidden Abilities through breeding, allowing you to customize their Natures, IVs, and egg moves according to your preferences and needs.
Pokemon Bank is an annual cloud-based service that allows you to store 3,000 Pokemon and move them around in your games (eg: Pokemon Sun, Pokemon Moon, Pokemon Ultra Sun, Pokemon Ultra Moon). Its partner app, the Pokemon Transporter, allows you to transfer Pokemon from Generation 5 (Pokemon Black/White/Black2/White2) and the Virtual Console games (Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal) to the newer games. Please take note that moving Pokemon to the next generation is a one-way process. This means that if you moved your Pokemon from Pokemon X (Generation 6) to Pokemon Ultra Sun (Generation 7), then you won't be able to move it back to any of the games prior to Generation 7 (Pokemon Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon).
You'll have to pay $4.99 (around P260) a year to utilize this amazing service. If you registered your NNID under the US, you can use Nintendo eShop Prepaid cards sold at local retail stores to top-up your account. The cheapest denomination is a $10 card which is usually priced at P550. Alternatively, you can also use selected local debit/credit cards or even PayMaya to load up your account. Please check this article for more information.
Unfortunately, the March Pokemon Newsletter containing serial codes for Heatran or Regigigas has not been released yet. Only those who have registered a Pokemon Trainer Club account and opted-in their email promos prior to March 2 PH time will receive the aforementioned email sometime this month.
In addition, you can also join our dedicated Pokémon Facebook group at Pinoy Pokémon Trainers or participate in our group chat through our Discord server.
