While fans of the Fire Emblem series here in our country are still hoping for the Special Edition of Fire Emblem Fates, Nintendo just announced that they will be releasing a Limited Edition Fire Emblem: Fates New 3DS XL along with information regarding DLCs.
First, the gorgeous Limited Edition New 3DS XL will launch in North America (the same region as US, Asian, & MDE) on February 19, for $199.99 (approximately P9,560 excluding tax). The 3DS games will also launch on the same date but the Limited Edition New 3DS XL will not include any of these games.
Regarding local availability, we contacted our local retailers about it. It will really help us if you can answer the simple poll at the end of the article below to help us convey the demand for this Limited Edition system to our local retailers.
Next, the separate third storyline, called Fire Emblem: Fates - Revelation will launch on March 10, 2016 as a download-only title for $19.99 (approximately P956, excluding tax).
Lastly, regular DLC maps will start appearing on launch day and then come at regular intervals. Maps can be bought individually or through "Packs", similar to the DLC system previously seen in Fire Emblem: Awakening. Map Pack 1 will cost US$17.99 (approximately P860, excluding tax) or CA$22.49 (approximately P735, excluding tax), depending on the country where you registered your NNID.

Nintendo gave the following description regarding the regular DLC maps:
Map Pack 1 features 11 maps and additional content. These maps shine new light on the cast of characters from Fire Emblem Fates, as well as old favorites from the Fire Emblem Awakening game. Discover new background stories about these beloved warriors, while earning more experience points and exclusive weaponry. Every map offers specific challenges and unique rewards.Fire Emblem: Fates - Birthright and Fire Emblem: Fates - Conquest for the Nintendo 3DS will release on February 19, 2016. You can pre-order the standard editions locally but we're still waiting for any updates regarding the Special Edition of the game.
