The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley shared something special to Nintendo fans during a Q&A for the upcoming event.
Although he didn’t say it explicitly, Geoff Keighley teased a possible tribute to the late Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, who passed away last July 11, 2015. He was reluctant to give away too much information on this part of the show, which could suggest that something special is planned and he doesn't want the impact to be ruined.
Geoff Keighley stated that NX won't be making an appearance but there will be new stuff from Nintendo. This could mean anything from fresh footage of an upcoming game to an entirely new release.
Moving on to the awards, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for the Nintendo 3DS was nominated for Best Mobile/Handheld Game. Other contenders from this category include Downwell, Fallout Shelter, Lara Croft Go, and Pac-Man 256.
The Game Awards 2015 will take place on December 4, 2015 at 10 AM Philippine Time. What new 3DS content are you hoping to hear?
Besides this event, new content will also be revealed on the Super Smash Bros. Special Broadcast scheduled sometime this December.
