Previously announced in the last November Direct, more details regarding Pokemon Picross has now been revealed by The Pokemon Company.
Pokemon Picross is the 3rd free-to-start spin-off title to be offered in the Nintendo 3DS eShop, the previous titles being Pokemon Shuffle and Pokemon Rumble World. The upcoming game aims to crossover the challenges offered by Picross puzzles with RPG and collecting elements in Pokemon. The game will feature over 300 Pokemon-themed puzzles. You will also be able to catch Pokemon and utilize their unique support abilities to aid you in solving puzzles quicker.
Picrites are rare stones with magical power introduced in the game. You can obtain them in various ways during your gameplay, such as by clearing a puzzle. You can access more and more areas using Picrites. You can also help the Pokemon recover their skills by using these unique stones. Picrites may also be purchased with real money in the Nintendo eShop.
The game was initially given an early December release date in the Direct. The Pokemon Company has recently revealed that Pokemon Picross will release as an eShop-exclusive free-to-start game on December 3, 2015 in North America (the same region as US, Asian, & MDE).
