A few days ago, Mii Plaza visitor Special Mii Kyle informed 3DS owners that the McDonald's Distribution event for Hoopa has began but only selected McDonald's locations in the United States will participate. While our local McDonald's are excluded from this event, there's still a legitimate way of acquiring a legitimate Hoopa from this distribution without leaving the country.
Instructions
- Change your Hotspot/WiFi's SSID to McDonalds Free WiFi and be sure to disable its security (remove its password) temporarily.
- Go to your 3DS System Settings and establish a connection with McDonalds Free WiFi.
- Load your copy of Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire.
- At the title screen, choose Mystery Gift.
- Choose Receive Gift.
- Select Yes.
- Choose Get Via Internet.
- Select Yes.
- After receiving Hoopa's Wonder Card, talk to the Event Lady NPC inside any Pokemon Center in-game to receive your Event Hoopa.
- Change your SSID back and re-enable its password protection afterwards.
- Go to your 3DS System Settings, delete all existing connections, and re-establish a new one with McDonalds Free WiFi.
- Move beside your router.
- Try and try
until you dieagain, or - Try at a different time.
Hoopa's Unbound Forme can only be acquired in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. To do this, add Hoopa to your party and enter any Poké Mart. A new clerk will show up near the counter at the far left side. If you interact with this clerk, the game transitions to another view as the clerk tells you a story. The clerk will then give you the Prison Bottle which you can use to transform Hoopa Confined into Hoopa Unbound. Hoopa will revert into Hoopa Confined three days after using the Prison Bottle or if it is deposited in the PC.
