UPDATE: Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that they will be discontinuing regular New 3DS production for that region as well. On the other hand, Nintendo of America mentioned that they will not be impacted by this since the New 3DS was only sold in limited quantities as special offerings in the US anyway.A notice from Nintendo of Japan's official page for the New 3DS mentions that the production of regular New 3DS units have ended. Japan has produced regular New 3DS systems for almost 3 years now since its launch on October 11, 2014.
It basically says "all production ended" under the New 3DS lineup.
Nintendo of Japan currently lists the New 3DS LL (XL in the US), New 2DS LL, and the old 2DS under its active 3DS family line.
It is yet unclear if production of New 3DS units in the West will be affected as well although it is worth noting that Nintendo of America has removed the regular New 3DS from its 3DS listing for quite a while now.
The last time the Regular New 3DS was seen on their official 3DS page was around November 2016 for the Super Mario 3D Land Edition New 3DS bundle.
On the other hand, the New 2DS XL is expected to come out on July 28, 2017. It has a US SRP of $150 (around P7,581 excluding tax) although its local price is estimated to be around P9,500 - P10,000+. For reference the Super Mario 3D Land Edition New 3DS bundle also had a US SRP of $150 but it was sold here for P9,495 last year.
