We need a Pokemon Sun and Moon Alola Starter Pack, ASAP!
Last month, Nintendo announced the Pokemon Sun and Moon Solgaleo and Lunala Limited Edition New 3DS XL and the Pokemon Sun and Moon Steelbook Dual Pack for North America (the same region as US, Asian, & MDE). The question now is will our local retailers sell them here as well?
Similar to previously released Limited Edition New 3DS XL systems, the Pokemon Sun and Moon New 3DS XL will not include a copy of either game. Chargers are also sold separately. The system is expected to be released on October 28, 2016 in the US. It has a suggested retail price of $199.99 (around P9,570 excluding tax). For reference, most first-print Limited Edition New 3DS XL systems are sold locally for P11,995.
The Pokemon Sun and Moon Steelbook Dual Pack is currently an Amazon-exclusive item. The bundle contains both Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon cartridges enclosed in a collectible Steelbook case. It features outer art of Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala. The inner art features the map of the Alola Region. The Steelbook bundle is priced at $79.99 (approximately P3,830 without tax). For reference, the Fire Emblem: Fates Special Edition which has the same US retail price of $79.99 was sold here for P4,995 when it was released locally.
Nintendo has also announced a separate non-steelbook case Dual Pack. This bundle costs $69.99 (approximately P3,350 without tax). It includes both Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon cartridges plus two codes that will unlock 100 Poké Balls each in-game.
NOTE: Unfortunately, there are currently no announcements regarding a Limited Edition Regular New 3DS for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. The Limited Edition Pokemon Sun and Moon Light Blue 2DS is currently exclusive to Europe and Japan. This system is not compatible with the North American games sold locally.
