It's been almost a week since Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack launched in the US last October 4, 2016. Fans of the Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX series may have to wait for a little while if they want to add this physical bundle to their collection.
One of the local retailers in the country confirmed that Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack isn't included in Maxsoft's 3DS game releases lineup. Maxsoft is the official and sole distributor of Nintendo products in Southeast Asia and the Middle East so most of our local retailers depend on the distributor for stocks and updates. This simply means that the bundle's release date in the Philippines is currently unknown.
While Inti Creates developed both Azure Striker Gunvolt and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (the 2 games bundled in the Striker Pack), Yacht Club Games took the reins of publishing the Striker Pack physical bundle in North America (the same region as US, Asian, or MDE). This is important to note because Yacht Club Games is the also same company that developed and published Shovel Knight. For reference, the physical version of their hit indie game got published in the US last October 15, 2015 but its local debut here was pushed back a month later on November 14, 2015.
You can call your preferred branch if you wish to clarify things directly. You can use the Game Retailer Branches & Contacts page as reference for store locations and contact numbers.
As an alternative, you can also purchase the digital versions of Azure Striker Gunvolt and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 from the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $14.99 each. The first game was released in the eShop last August 29, 2014 while its sequel launched last September 29, 2016. Meanwhile, the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack is priced at $29.99 (approximately P1,450 excluding tax).
Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack combines both the original critically acclaimed 2D action adventure, Azure Striker Gunvolt with its highly anticipated successor, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 in one game package. These platforming games harken back to the Japanese classics of yesteryear with their great controls, crisp graphics, unique gameplay mechanics, memorable characters, and epic boss battles. The game now includes mid-stage dialogue that is fully voiced in Japanese with an updated English script that has been re-translated to better match the original Japanese version of the game.
Will you wait for the physical bundle or purchase the digital versions individually from the 3DS eShop?
