In an interview with this month's issue of Nintendo Dream in Japan, Final Fantasy Theatrhythm series producer Ichiro Hazama spoke about wanting to keep the franchise going.

While he didn't mention any new projects, it appears that he is open for the possibility of the idea with his New Year's message (translated to English):
This is Hazama from Square Enix. Last year at this place, I said 'we'll keep continuing Theatrhythm from hereafter too!'. Well then, I wonder how about next year['s continuity]. Personally, I still want to continue, and everyday I have been devising various plans. I'm full with a feeling to do something to make it happen, so I'll be glad if you can wait with anticipation. With that being said, please keep supporting [the series] as usual from hereafter too!

The Theatrhythm series is a rhythm-based RPG spin-off based on the countless memorable soundtracks from Square Enix's most popular franchises. It spawned two games in North America (the same region as US, Asian, & MDE) with Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, both titles having Demo versions available for download on the 3DS eShop. While these are based on the Final Fantasy series, there was also a Japan-only release that featured music from the Dragon Quest games.

Are you hoping for another Theatrhythm title? Would you like to see other Square Enix series such as Kingdom Hearts under the spotlight or would you prefer to have the Theatrhythm Dragon Quest localized?

You might also want to check the dedicated discussion thread for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call back in the Pinoy 3DS Facebook group.
