Nintendo announced in last week's Nintendo Direct that Fire Emblem Fates will have a Special Edition bundle. More details regarding this bundle are now revealed.

According to North American retailer GameStop, the Special Edition will include all three versions of Fire Emblem Fates (Birthright, Conquest, Revelation) in a single cartrige. This will also allow purchasers to access and play the digital-only Revelations Path three weeks prior to its official 3DS eShop launch, in a cartridge.

Aside from the unique cartridge, the Special Bundle will also include an 80-page Hardcover Artbook and a Nintendo 3DS XL Carrying Pouch featuring Fire Emblem Fates game art. The artbook is a vast improvement from the GameStop-exclusive Fire Emblem Awakening pre-order bonus artbook that never made it locally.

The Special Bundle has an MSRP of $79.99 (approximately P3,760 excluding tax). Aside from the bonuses mentioned above, the Special Edition bundle will also save you at least $19.98 off. You'll have to spend $99.97 (approximately P4,700 excluding tax) normally if you're going to buy Birthright, Conquest, and the digital-only Revelation separately.

While pre-orders are selling like hotcakes in North America, it is still unclear if our local retailers will be able to procure a couple of Special Edition copies on launch day. Remember, the Special Edition Fire Emblem Awakening Regular 3DS bundle and the Fire Emblem Awakening + Artbook bundle never made it here. We tried to reach DataBlitz and Game One Gadget Store / i.TECH - Philippines and they mentioned that they will be taking note of our request.

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest for the Nintendo 3DS will release on February 19, 2016. Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation will release at a later date as an eShop-exclusive download. Plan your budget and choose your path wisely.
