Renegade Kid's Mutant Mudds Super Challenge got delayed until early 2016 due to the amount of content they are adding. Thankfully, they still managed to squeeze Dementium Remastered before the year ends.
Dementium: The Ward was a first-person horror title originally developed for the Nintendo DS. After the relative success of the Moon Chronicles remake on the 3DS eShop, Renegade Kid decided to give Dementium the same treatment, and thus giving rise to Dementium Remastered.
There are also several new features added to the remastered version. New gameplay difficulty options include Normal, Hard, and Demented. Renegade Kid added a manual save system adopted from Dementium II. Enemies no longer respawn so a dead zombie stays dead. A lot of time and attention has been spent on increasing texture resolution, adding specular, detail, and normal maps to enemies and environments. Cut-scenes have all been re-rendered using new remastered enemy/environment art (not autostereoscopic 3D, though, to save on ROM size).
Dementium Remastered for the Nintendo 3DS will launch as a eShop-exclusive game on December 3, 2015. Watch the announcement trailer below:
