More shocking Pokemon-related updates keep on coming!
Earlier today, the Pokemon Company revealed the worldwide debut of Detective Pikachu on March 23, 2018 along with a super-sized Detective Pikachu amiibo. Nintendo followed this up with an announcement of their own regarding the release of the Limited Edition Pikachu New 2DS XL for North America (the same region as US, Asian, & MDE). It will launch on January 26, 2018 with a retail SRP of $159.99 which is around P8,068 excluding tax and other expenses.
It is currently unclear if our local retailers will be able to procure some copies locally. For reference, the Limited Edition Poke Ball New 2DS XL came out last November, almost a month after its US debut. It was sold here as a bundle-only package for P9,395. It also had a US SRP of $159.99 back then.
