This is excellent news whether you are planning to get one for your collection or if you are just looking to experience the thrill of the Sinnoh region for the first time. Popular Nintendo DS games are already rare and expensive even in the second-hand market because most of them are out of print already.

Reprints for 4th Generation Pokemon Nintendo DS games Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Pearl, and Pokemon Platinum are now available from DataBlitz and Game One PH / i.TECH - Philippines branches nationwide for a limited time! All versions are priced at P1,895 (less P100 if paid with cash) each. While the reprint copies are Asian (the same region, as US, North America, or MDE), Nintendo DS games are region-free so you can play these on your European, Japanese, or US 3DS systems as well.

Since the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection system for the Nintendo DS already shutdown last May 2014, all online features related to Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum are no longer available (eg: online battles, trading, GTS, etc). While you can still do local battles and trades, you can also transfer the Pokemon you caught from Generation IV to Generation V (Pokemon White/Black or White2/Black2) then to Generation VI (Pokemon X/Y or Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire) through the Pokemon Bank application. This app can be downloaded from the 3DS eShop and has a $4.99 yearly subscription. Please take note that transferring Pokemon through Generations is a one-way process.

Still no information available whether the Generation II remakes Pokemon Heart Gold and Pokemon Soul Silver will also get a reprint anytime in the future.

Speaking of remakes, Generation IV is the next to be remade following Generation III's turn last 2014 with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Are you hoping for a Sinnoh remake on the 7th Generation?

As always, please coordinate with your preferred branch first to avoid unecessary mishaps. You can use the Game Retailer Branches & Contacts page as reference for store locations and contact numbers.
