The following guidelines are made for the Pinoy 3DS Marketplace Facebook subgroup. This means that some of the links are only accessible to members.
To maintain a sense of fairness and uniformity, everyone is requested to familiarize themselves with the following guidelines. Ignorantia juris non excusat.
1. Follow the correct format
We are strictly implementing the required format. Posts that do not conform with this rule will be automatically rejected and deleted. This is our initial line of defense against scammers and bogus transactions. You are only allowed to sell your own items.
2. Feedback needed
Help us determine who are the credible buyers, sellers, and traders in the group by logging your experience in our feedback form. In addition, please urge other members to share their experience as well to solidify our logs.
3. "Bumping" posts
You can only "bump" ads once every 6 hours. If nobody contacts you, chances are people are not interested in your item or it doesn't have a reasonable price. This rule applies to everyone, not just on the thread starter. Any attempt to circumvent around this will be considered as an infraction. This policy was originally implemented so every post will have equal opportunity to appear on top as much as possible. It also helps in minimizing wall clutter or spam.
- 1st and 2nd infraction → Written warning
- 3rd infraction → Permanent Ban
4. Piracy
Selling, buying, trading, or discussing about hardware or software that promote piracy are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, piracy-related hardware or software (eg: R4, Gateway 3DS, Sky 3DS, etc), cheating devices (eg: Powersave, Action Replay, etc), custom firmware (eg: looking for units with low firmware), hacks (region change, region free), homebrew, exploits (eg: Cubic Ninja), or emulators AND illegally downloaded games/ROMs. Bootleg games are discouraged as well.
- 1st infraction → Permanent ban
5. Only post Marketplace-related ads
Only buying, selling, or trading posts are allowed here. Unrelated 3DS concerns should be posted on the main Pinoy 3DS community. In addition, unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any other form of solicitation will be dealt with accordingly. A maximum number of 3 ads at one time is allowed per member. Succeeding ads will be deleted and the member will be notified. Habitual violation may result to permanent ban.

6. Tips for newcomers
If you are a relative newcomer to the pre-owned market scene, you might want to check our Pre-owned 3DS Buying Guide in the Files section first for tips and guidelines.
7. Do not ask for prices
Please use the group's Search feature if you wish to check the price range of certain items. You can also call local retailers near your area if you wish to use brand-new prices as reference.
8. Only Nintendo items are allowed
Non-3DS related items are prohibited in the group. PS Vita games, for example, will only be accepted if they are to be traded for 3DS-related games, peripherals, or items. Putting a price tag on non-3DS items will invalidate your post. Please join the group Nintendo PH Buy and Sell for other non-3DS but Nintendo-related items.
9. Don't sell Pokemon or in-game items/services
Selling in-game items or characters, such as shiny Pokemon, for real money is not allowed. Charging real money for in-game services such as breeding or boosting is also prohibited.
10. Respect each other's post
If you find an item that is too expensive or unreasonable, please ignore. Bashing the prices will only instigate flame wars. In addition, hijacking another member's thread is not allowed. If you are selling or buying the same item, post your own ad and wait. Punishment:
- 1st infraction → post deletion + written warning (violators only)
- 2nd infraction → Permanent ban
11. Scammers
If proven, you will be permanently blocked from all Pinoy 3DS community groups without any chance of appealing. Scammers will also be added in our Scammers List for reference. Report a scam to an Admin or Moderator and provide every information you can find to facilitate the review process.
12. Bogus Buyers/Sellers
You will be labeled as a bogus buyer/seller or joy reserver if you:
Meetup - Cancel the deal at the last minute (on the day of the transaction itself) or if you fail to show up at the meetup place, regardless of reasons.
Shipping - Did not settle payment after 3 days upon agreement of both parties. Not shipping the item warrants it as a scam already.
Punishments:
- 1st infraction → Bogus Watchlist
- 2nd infraction → Permanent ban
13. Trusted Technicians
Contacts:
Posts are filtered to minimize spam and sort out infractions. Please wait for an online Admin to approve your posts. If the Pending Queue is empty, it may mean that your posts were either approved or rejected/deleted.
Admins can delete non-compliant posts and issue warnings. These warnings are meant to inform, not to ridicule. Blocking an Admin is counterproductive because Admins can see your posts and issue appropriate penalties just fine.
The group administration reserves the right to suspend certain members either temporarily or permanently, without stating the reasons and with no prior warning.
Pinoy 3DS is not liable for any transactions made within this subgroup. It is the member's sole responsibility to exercise proper judgment when choosing who to deal with.
